The audio material of the second edition of Genki is stored in digital audio files on the accompanying CD-ROM. Since the files are in MP3 format, the disc cannot be played on audio CD players. Instead, please use a computer or digital audio player to listen to the material.
Copying the files to a computer for listening (for iTunes users*)

1. Insert the CD-ROM in the computer窶冱 CD/DVD drive and launch iTunes.
2. Select 窶弃references窶 from the Edit menu in the iTunes toolbar (if using a Macintosh, select 窶弃references窶 from the iTunes menu in the toolbar), and click on the Advanced tab in the window displayed. Next, check the 窶廚opy files to iTunes Media folder when adding to library窶 option and click the OK button to close the window (be sure to perform this step if you plan to transfer the files to an iPod, etc.).
3. Select 窶廸ew Playlist窶 from the File menu to create an empty playlist (name it however you like).
4. Access the CD-ROM and drag the audio files or their entire folder to the empty playlist to copy them to it. You can then listen to the files by checking them and clicking the play button, or by double-clicking them individually.
