The textbooks are divided into two volumes: Textbook I (Lessons 1–12) and Textbook II (Lessons 13–23).
Each volume consists of two sections: “Dialogue and Grammar” and “Reading and Writing.”
The CD accompanying each textbook contains six hours of audio material in MP3 files. Pauses are inserted in the Dialogue, Vocabulary, and Practice audio material to give students time to pronounce the utterances, thus helping them to study more effectively. → How to Use the CD
Dialogue and Grammar audio material
Dialogue: No pauses in the first recording. Second reading features a pause after each sentence to allow students to repeat it.
Vocabulary: Japanese vocabulary terms and their English equivalents.
Practice: All practices marked with 
in the textbook and their answers.
Reading and Writing audio material
Reading: Recordings of the readings of every lesson.
